4 Marketing Moves You Don’t Want to Miss as a Blogger

The only dream of a blogger is to have their content read, help their blog readers in the way while also making money on the side.

But not all bloggers get to have this fate.

Only a few get heard, convert their traffic, make money and ultimately scale.

In fact, 81% of the total blogs present on the internet never even make $100 online.

After doing some research over the years I’ve come to realize that there are actually only 4 marketing moves a blogger needs to have in order to grow their blog and convert their traffic.

Here are those 4 marketing moves that’ll bring you a surge of new traffic and ultimately more conversions:

1). User Research

It’s also called customer research.

Knowing deeply and thoroughly who your blog readers are.

Who are they, what do they like, dislike and more importantly what are their problems?

Some of those problems, you as the blogger will solve.

For example – You own a fitness blog in the weight loss category.

Then most probably your reader’s biggest problem is dealing with weight loss and other problems related to it such as lack of confidence, lack of self-esteem, etc..

Once you know these problems, then it’s your job to give your best into bringing them the best content possible, so they become your raving fans.

And the more research you do, the better understanding you will have about your target audience.

And the better the contents you’ll be able to create.

Which will help you serve more people while also making money?

Try to know all these details about your readers to better understand them:

  • Where do they hang out online? (Ex – Fb, Pinterest, Forums, etc)
  • What are their favorite tools? (Ex – For blogging tools like Ahrefs, SemRush, etc)
  • Who are your competitors?
  • What keywords does your avatar use? (Use Google Keyword Planner and QuestionDb.io)
  • What are their content consumption sites? (Favorite blog)

Once you have done deep research by understanding these things about your customer you’ll not only know what kind of content to create.

But also how to put it in front of your ideal reader.

And that’s what marketing is all about.

Taking your product or service to where the customer actually is.

Now, let’s move onto the second point.

2). Good Content

Good content is the content that solves the problems of your readers. Period.

While also bringing you lots of shares, links, and exposure.

So, how to create good content?

It comes from user research, understanding the pain points of your audience and knowing how to best deliver it to them.

Since we’ve already discussed user research, let’s discuss how you can deliver your content in the best way possible.

First of all, It all starts with a headline.

Not a generic, shallow headline.

For example – Read this article NOW! If you want to make money Blogging

Imagine, if that was the headline of this article.

It may seem like a bit catchy at the beginning.

But, it’s ultimately gonna make your readers feel cheated and betrayed.

And you never wanna do that.

A better headline example –

Easy ways to make money blogging you don’t want to miss.

Try to make sure your headline is specific, juicy while not spammy.

Once we’re done with the headline…

Then here are 3 of the best content templates you can follow to curate your blog content:

  1. How To Article – These are the most famous articles. And the best way to provide a ton of value to your readers.

Ex – How to Make money online? How to bring 1000s of visitors to your blog? etc…

  1. List Articles – If you want to give serious, actionable advice that your audience can use as soon as now, then try this.

Ex – 7 Ways to Make Money Online, 4 Moves to Increase your Blog traffic by 107%, etc…

  1. Success Stories – People love success stories. Cause they want to believe and hope that they can do it too. You can show your own case studies and success stories or of other people.

Ex – How I made $3,471 in my first-year blogging, etc…

A great example of Success Story content can be seen on Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive income. Where he egregiously shows his Income Reports.

Once you’ve created your content.

Then it’s time for the next marketing move.

Or shall I say the most important marketing move?

3). Promotion

If you truly want to get good at promotion, then you must have a good understanding of where your readers hang out online.

And then bring your content to them.

Do they hang out on Facebook?

Good.

Do FB Live.

Join groups and pages where you can bring value to the community while also promoting your content once in a while.

Do they love scouring pictures on Pinterest?

Good.

Make pins of your content and pin it.

Or maybe your audience is on Instagram?

Great.

You know how to make Insta posts. Right?

I hope you got my point here.

First, do extensive user research.

Understand your readers.

Then create the content they crave.

And then bring it to them.

This will ensure that you focus on promoting your content at the right place where you will be getting most of the benefits.

And now, let’s move onto the final piece of the puzzle.

4). Conversion

If you want to make real money online.

Then conversion should be your no.1 priority.

Conversion of your blog visitors into email subscribers.

And then your Email subscribers into paying customers.

And then..

You’re paying customers into your raving fans who not only buy each and every single product but also promote it.

Now..

The conversion of a website depends on how well you can bribe your audience.

Meaning: What FREE Offer can you excite them with, that they get compelled to give you their emails?

For example – 52 Headline Hacks that Make your blog post go viral

And you’ll be more than willing to exchange your email for a FREE offer like this.

Did you notice the word FREE?

Yup, that’s right.

In the beginning, your only focus is on Email conversions.

And the best way for email conversions?

  1. FREE Offers
  2. Compelling, juicy offers that make your reader’s greed glands swell.

Focus on these two and you’ll be well on your way to having crazy, amazing conversions on your blog.

That’s it if you follow these 4 practices your brand will grow in no time and you will notice a sudden increment in your traffic, conversion rates and ultimately money.
